HARMAN technology announces winners of commemorative photography competition held especially for members of the APUG organisation

Members of the Analog Photographic Users Group (APUG) were recently offered the chance to get their images printed on special, limited edition packs of ILFORD MULTIGRADE paper thanks to a photographic competition launched by HARMAN technology Limited – the company behind the analogue photographic brand, ILFORD PHOTO.
The competition is a thank you to all APUG members who continue to support ILFORD PHOTO and the art behind traditional analogue photography through the international, likeminded community. No year is more apt than 2009 – as it is 130 years since Alfred Hugh Harman founded the original ILFORD company in 1879.
To celebrate 130 years, HARMAN technology will produce special commemorative 20” x 16” packs of ILFORD MULTIGRADE papers with all the four winning images reproduced on the packs – a first for ILFORD PHOTO. These packs will be limited edition with just 10,000, 10 sheet envelope packs available for purchase. A release date for the limited edition packs will be announced later in the year.
All entries had to be submitted by 6th April and were judged by Dr. Tim Rudman. Dr. Rudman is a leading photographer and truly outstanding printer who has published several books and is acknowledged as one of the greatest exponents of silver gelatin printing in all its forms but especially lith printing and toning. Following a long judging process, made more difficult with the high level of quality photography, Dr. Rudman picked his winners and HARMAN technology is pleased to announce them as:

-Steve Roberts, England
-Morry Katz, Canada
Chairman of HARMAN technology Limited, Howard Hopwood said:

It is also the first time we will have ever printed four images on one of our iconic ILFORD PHOTO packs and the first time we have come together with the leading internet monochrome website 'APUG' (www.apug.org) to organise a photographic competition like this for its 34,000 members.
