Kentmere 100 is a medium speed, black & white film suitable for a wide variety of applications where good lighting conditions are available (both outdoor or indoor with controlled / studio lighting).
The fine grain and excellent sharpness make it suitable for enlargement prints while its broad tonal range and wide exposure latitude make it a smart choice for beginners and those returning to film.
The Kentmere range is owned and manufactured by Harman technology and follows the same high quality processes that are used to make all ILFORD PHOTO films and papers.
Kentmere 100 is panchromatically sensitised and can be processed in a wide range of different developers using spiral tanks, deep tanks and automatic processors.
I was always hesitant to use this film because I thought with it being so cheap its quality would reflect its price range.
I was wrong! Oh boy, was I wrong!!
In my opinion it isn't as sharp as the Delta or HP range but what it lacks in sharpness it makes up for it in tonal range and grain structure. The tonal range is out of this world, especially in the middle and the grain structure is reminiscent of that from the all great images of the 1950's.
It has that classic look and feel to this film and I cannot believe such a high quality film is priced this low.
I love it so much I just ordered a bulk roll.
Defiantly a hidden gem in the analog world! 10/10.
Bang for buck

Honestly 10/10 would shoot again. I collect cameras, and love testing new/old film. Price is right for this film, and honestly I was very happy with my results using stand development.
