HARMAN technology Ltd announces the winners of the UK Student Competition 2014 entitled “Motion”. The annual competition for UK photography students attracted a record entry for 2014.
So many that it took the judges two sittings before they could decide which had met the Brief and complied with the competition Terms and Conditions. After long deliberation and several rejections the winners were finally chosen.
The title of ‘ILFORD PHOTO Student Photographer of the Year 2014 – DARKROOM’ is awarded to Elliott Jagger from Leeds College of Art for a print entitled “Light in the dark”. The Runner Up was Laura Cogan of Lincoln College with “Almost there”.
As well as their titles the winners receive an awards certificate and £150 to spend at harmanexpress.com, and will have their winning images professionally mounted and framed by ILFORD LAB DIRECT. The Runners Up also receive a certificate and £100 to spend at harmanexpress.com.
Cardinal Newman College once again submitted the most eligible entries and receive a voucher for £250 to spend on product of their choice from www.harmanexpress.com
Steven Brierley, Director of Sales & Marketing at HARMAN said, “We have always had marvellous support from tutors and technicians in the colleges. It is no surprise that we continue to receive so many exceptional prints entered for our competitions. This year we were very nearly overwhelmed by the large number of entries that we had to judge from. I think the winners have shown excellent thought and technique.”
